Give Back to the Pack 2025

Double your impact with the Dow match! For every dollar donated to Chemical Sciences and Engineering Building Renovations, The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation will match it, up to $2 million, funding renovations to the Chemical Sciences and Engineering (Chem Sci) Building. Upgrades include significant updates to HVAC systems to improve energy savings, air quality and circulation, and research experience. Additional updates will be made to collaborative spaces, teaching labs, and classrooms.

Bre Wakeham was a beloved member of the Michigan Tech community and her impact continues to live on. Help us honor her legacy by contributing to the Bre Wakeham Memorial Scholarship. Gifts will be used to establish an endowed scholarship, and for every $1 donated during Give Back to the Pack, $2 will be matched by an anonymous donor, up to $20,000.

For every 10 gifts donated to the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) Fund, $20,000 will be generously contributed to the Aerospace Mechanical Lab by an anonymous donor. Gifts will be matched up to $100,000. Help us achieve our goal of 50 donations!

For every gift donated to the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum, a contribution of $500 will be made thanks to the support of John '59 & Barbara Keily & Alan Morrish to help upgrade the museum's technology, including a self-guided tour app, up to a total of $10,000. In honor of his upcoming 50th reunion, Geoff Weller, Class of 1975 Reunion Giving Chair, is challenging alumni from this year’s honored classes—1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1985, 1995, 2000, 2005, and 2015—to give back and unlock additional support. For every 10 donations from these classes, Geoff will contribute $5,000, up to $50,000, to Michigan Tech. Gifts to any fund will count. Maximize your gift! Greg '82 & Elizabeth Horvath have committed to a $2 for $1 match for all gifts to the COB Management Information Systems (MIS) Alumni Endowed Scholarship, up to $10,000.

For every dollar raised, Eustace Dereniak '63 will match up to $20,000 in support of the Optics and Photonics Endowed Scholarship Fund. In addition, donations made to this scholarship during Give Back to the Pack will go even further as the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) will also match dollar-for-dollar any contributions to the scholarship fund. Combined, your gift will have a 3-to-1 impact!
