What is Give Back to the Pack?
Give Back to the Pack is Michigan Tech's 24-hour giving challenge starting on April 10 at 12 p.m. and ending on April 11 at 12 p.m. As a community, the goal is to come together and support the areas/initiatives/programs that mean the most to you at Michigan Tech.
When is Give Back to the Pack?
The campaign kicks off officially on Wednesday, April 10, 2023, at 12 p.m. ET and closes at 12 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 11, 2023.
Why should I participate in Give Back to the Pack?
Michigan Tech prepares students to create the future and solve the world's problems. Your gift helps students receive a world-renowned, hands-on education that will give them an advantage over their peers heading into their careers. Every gift counts, no matter the size. Show your support for the Huskies from wherever you are and Give Back to the Pack!
How can I make my gift?
Visit www.giveback.mtu.edu between Wednesday, April 10, 2023, at 12 p.m. ET and Thursday, April 11, 2023, at 12 p.m. ET. You can also call the Michigan Tech Fund at 906-487-3614.
What areas can I support?
It's entirely up to you! Please review the featured groups on our main page and find the area that inspires you. You may also select from the list of Fund Designations on the giving page to give your gift to the area of your choice, or select "Other" and enter any fund or designation that you would like to support. From contributing to student scholarships to funding transformational research and top-notch faculty, you can make an immediate and lasting difference for Michigan Tech.
I am a Michigan Tech employee. Can I make a gift to Give Back to the Pack via payroll deduction?
Yes! Michigan Tech employees can donate using payroll deduction. It's simple—just fill out and submit the Google Form.
How do I become an Ambassador?
Click on the "Ambassador" portal on the top right of the homepage. Follow the registration prompts and help us spread the word about Give Back to the Pack!
What if I don't see my organization/area on the list of participating groups?
If you do not see what you're looking for on the Give Back to the Pack website, please select "Mush Fund" as the Area of Support and "Other" as the Designation when making your gift and indicate where you would like your gift to go. Additionally, you can make your gift to the Mush Fund, then email gift-admin@mtu.edu or call 906-487-2310 and we will make sure your gift is designated to the area of your choice.
Can I send a check and have it included in Give Back to the Pack?
If you are writing a check, please call Lorraine Young at 906-487-3305 or the Michigan Tech Fund at 906-487-2310 to make a pledge which will be counted towards the Give Back to the Pack total. You can complete your pledge by sending a check at your earliest convenience to:

Does Give Back to the Pack replace giving during the rest of the year?
A donor can make their usual gift during the days of giving or make an additional gift, whichever they choose. We are grateful for the support of our ambassadors and donors. You don't have to give between these days, but giving between these days will help us build momentum and encourage others. Your support is important to us and we understand you will make a gift when the time is right.
What should I do if my employer offers a matching gift?
If your employer offers a matching gift program, visit our website and follow the instructions.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes. Your gift is tax deductible as prescribed by law. After submitting your online donation, you will receive an email confirmation that serves as your receipt for tax purposes.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged immediately.
